New Faces at Skywire

Our Skywire team has been growing. In February we welcomed 3 new members to the Skywire family. We are so excited to have Brais, Edward and Liz join our team, bringing with them their unique skills, talents and experiences. To learn a bit more about them, we sat down for a quick chat.

Brais Vázquez Gil

What is your job title? / What department do you work in? Junior Web Developer / Development

Where did you work before Skywire?  I worked for 2+ years on a IBM Reseller Web Development Agency located in the north of Spain

What’s your favourite film? So difficult to choose only one. Probably “Les Diaboliques” (1955) or “The Sixth Sense”

What’s your favourite holiday location? I love big cities that have a lot to do as well as a beach, such as Los Angeles or Miami

Where are you from? I’m from Coruña, a beach city located in the north of Spain

Edward Simpson

What is your job title? / What department do you work in? Junior Front-end Web Developer and Magento Technical Project Manager / I am involved in both the development and client departments

Where did you work before Skywire? I worked for a multi-channel luxury motorcycle accessories retailer called Urban Rider as their Head of Operations and IT

Whats the strangest job you ever had? I was a ‘lunch lady’ at an all girls private school in my teens…

Liz Martin

What is your job title? / What department do you work in? Web Design Consultant and Project Manager / Account Department

Where did you work before Skywire? For a tourism advertising agency in Philadelphia, not far from where I grew up

Describe yourself in 3 words. Obsessed with dogs

What’s your favourite film? The Princess Bride

Who’s your hero? My mom, she’s a total badass. She studied metalurgical engineering in university and was the only woman in her program. She then went on to be a rocket scientist at NASA
